We would like to make your experience attending Your Life and Cancer 2020 as smooth as possible which is why we have compiled the following FAQ's. We hope these answer your questions, however if you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to contact us at hello@YourLifeandCancer.com
Who should attend this event?
The main focus is on supporting people with a cancer diagnosis, so this includes friends and family who are also affected by cancer. We also welcome doctors, practitioners and oncologists who are looking to expand their knowledge of integrative medicine and the benefits that this can bring to a conventional cancer treatment programme.
Are all the sessions LIVE?
All the online sessions over both weekends are LIVE. A couple of the sessions will include some recorded content from some of the speakers who are unable to attend, but all sessions will include a LIVE Q&A at the end of the presentations.
What Time Zone is the event being held in?
The event is being held in British Summer Time which is: +1 hour from GMT (Universal Time Zone); +5 EST (Eastern Standard Time); +8 PST (Pacific Standard Time).
Will there be an opportunity to ask the speakers questions?
Each session will be interactive with two experts in a discussion-style exchange and a Q&A at the end in which the hosts will take your questions from the audience. If other members of the audience like your question they can vote on it and those with the most votes will rise to the top of the list so the speakers know what the most pressing questions are and can answer them first.
Will I need to download any special software to attend the event?
There is no need to download any programmes or apps - you simply fill out a short registration form at www.YourLifeandCancer.com/register. Closer to the event we will send you login details to access the presentations.
Will the presentations be recorded?
Yes all presentations will be recorded and will be made available for six months after the event for all those people that opted to register for ‘live sessions and recordings’. These will be sent to you within a week of the event.
Can I attend anonymously?
We anticipate that some attendees would like to participate and ask the speakers questions but would prefer to remain anonymous. This is absolutely fine – when you receive your login details to access the presentations you can create a user name of your choice and this does not have to relate to your own personal details.
The programme contains lots of content, are the presentations back to back or are there breaks in between?
As there is lots of information to take in over the weekend, we have scheduled a minimum of 30 minute breaks between each session and a longer break for lunch.
Is it possible to obtain a complementary pass due to financial difficulties?
Yes to Life do support people with a cancer diagnosis who are struggling to access information. To enquire more about their programme please contact miquel.leon@YestoLife.org.uk
I have heard that oncologists can attend for free – is this correct?
Yes, we would really like oncologists to attend so they can learn about the evidence and science associated with integrative medicine. If you have a cancer diagnosis and would like your oncologist to attend Free of Charge simply ask them to email sophie@YourLifeandCancer.com and we will register them for a complementary pass.
